Dazzling dragonflies, swooping swallows and dusk hunting
bats are just some of the beautiful and rare inhabitants of Englemere Pond in Ascot.

Englemere Pond - which is considered a Site of Special Scientific Interest - attracts a diverse range of visitors and we were excited to be involved with enhancing the overall experience for everyone. Bracknell Forest Council was keen to educate the public on the rich fauna and flora in the area and improve the site’s orientation.

"...from design through to construction and installation, they have continued to provide an excellent level of service."

Rose Wicks, Parks and Countryside Project Officer at Bracknell Forest Council is delighted with the creative services we provided, she said: ”Fitzpatrick Woolmer’s brief from the outset was the best out of the design companies approached, and from design through to construction and installation, they have continued to provide an excellent level of service.”

Highlighting Englemere Pond’s wildlife value was very important to Bracknell Forest Council; our wildlife illustrations create a sense of place which allows people to immerse themselves in Englemere’s stunning surroundings.

To make the reserve’s nature trails more apparent, we designed and produced a series of way finding signs. Visitors can now stroll down the nature paths, explore the area with ease and soak up the peaceful atmosphere, making for a truly enjoyable and relaxing day out.

Ensuring that every single person is able to easily navigate around the area and explore the site for themselves is an excellent way to provide them with a truly exciting adventure; we created maps to help everyone from ramblers to school groups, make the most of their day at Englemere Pond.
