Belfairs and Dawes Heath App
With digital interpretation becoming increasingly popular amongst visitor attractions and heritage sites, we were delighted to work with Southend-on-Sea Borough Council in partnership with Essex Wildlife Trust, to produce an interactive educational App.
By marrying creative, contemporary design with a woodland inspired colour palette, we brought the Belfairs and Daws Heath Living Landscape App to life. Visitors are encouraged to explore, discover and interact with their surroundings, making for an exciting learning experience. But how?
Journey through time by walking through the ancient woodland and learn fascinating facts about the area’s heritage through spoken histories.
Fasten your walking boots, follow the map and venture through the beautiful woodlands on a Sculpture Discovery Trail. Now open up your Field Guide and look around, can you spot the different species of tree, flower and shrub?
Environment Projects Manager at Southend-on-Sea Borough Council, Louise Morris, said: “We are very pleased with our new ‘Belfairs & Daws Heath Living Landscape’ App; the look and feel is excellent and the information and detail contained is interesting and appropriate. We have received very positive feedback from our users and feel it is a valuable resource for putting out our message to visitors to the Landscape.”
The Living Landscapes App is free and available to download through the App Store and Google Play.
